Sadly, each of Szczesny and Juventus have entered a phase of decline. After winning the league for nine consecutive years however, they've been outside the top three in the last two seasons. Despite his lackluster performances, Szczesny's rating has only decreased by one point, which means that in FIFA 23 Coins his card is graded at 85.
There was plenty of speculation over Skriniar's new club in the summerof this year, which included Paris Saint Germain looking the most confident about luring this Slovakian in the French League. However, the move never materialized, and now Skriniar is battling to get back the top spot for the club.
"Wins to Watch" means that players' teams win three matches out of their next eight domestic ties (starting the 30th of September) They will be awarded an additional one-time stat boost similar to another in-form. So if Man City win 3/8 games, Haaland gets another +1 above and beyond the updates to his in-form He receives. (Lol 'if'.)
Nations to Watch means that every player with an Ones to Watch card whose country is participating at the World Cup will receive a one-time upgrade to their in-form if their team is successful during the tournament. It's been a tough time for Erling on this front, it appears due to Norway's lack of participation. ('Tough times for Erling' is not something we expect to write on many other occasions this year/decade/millennium.)
Even better, Nations to Watch players don't require selection for their national team to be upgraded, meaning that if Gabriel Jesus somehow doesn't make it into Brazil's squad, and his countrymen get an upset in Qatar then the Arsenal hitman will still get a +1.
Also, it's important to mention this: Ones to Watch players do not receive upgrades based on other promotional cards. If Tyler Adams gets some sort of wild 90+ card in April for the form of a new promo, such as Factsmashers or something similar the case may be, his OTW won't be upgraded in line with the promo. (Sorry Tyler. If this makes you feel any better, you're literally everyone's pre-order OTW package.)
The unusual transfer market manner of operation meant it was sometimes practical and economical to bring in good promo players to one's team, even within a few days after they came out. This may prove to be true in FIFA 23 however, at present, the top Ones to Watch players are going cost you a significant price. Given that they have currently not received any upgrades and are not receiving any upgrades, it's hard to suggest spending coins on them.
On the less expensive end of the scale, Nico Schlotterbeck from Borussia Dortmund is selling for around 14k coins, which is only 4k more than his discard price. Schlotterbeck is a decent start centre-back, although he doesn't have the desirable 'Lengthy running style, and cheap FUT 23 Coins
despite Dortmund's lack of form, it's possible to see him securing an upgrade to the Wins to Watch upgrade in the coming weeks.
